My 2013 chev equinox started leaking green fluid after a very heavy snow and
wondered if it could be brake fluid as I had to shovel out of a snow drift and
maybe nicked a brake line.

Green is probably anti-freeze. Check the coolant level in your radiator reservoir.

Never have I seen green brake fluid. Agree that it is most likely coolant or green tire slime.

Brake fluid can turn green from coming in contact with copper or brass in system. Check fluid levels to confirm where the leak came from.
