When it is in the vent (open) position, check the track for any obstructions. It won't be a fuse since the same motor works to put it in vent position. Does it shut after it has been put in the vent position? If so, I would look for a switch or other electrical failure in the overhead console.

Mines does the same thing, anyone else knows the issue? Or have you fixed it?
