Braking when letting off the gas

Asked by Lexi Oct 09, 2018 at 03:23 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Equinox LT AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi all. My car will brake when letting off the gas. I
can be going down a hill and it will come to a
complete stop without me touching the brake.
Does anybody have any ideas on what could be
causing this? I just got my brakes and rotors
changed about 2 weeks ago.

There is a good chance the flexable lines (on the front) have failed. When they worked on the car, they moved the calipers much further than they normally move and the inner plastic line probably broke....not really their fault, they just failed because they are 13 years old
