car is quiting like its the fuel but its not missing no power what could this be have put it on a mechine showed nothing

If it only goes dead at an idle but if you give it gas it runs fine I would check the idle air control valve/ motor . Hope this helps

machine will not show fuel starve and will not misfire ,check fuel filter then runing pressure at fuel rail with guage or visa versa

remove the #1 H02s (oxygen sensor) and install a back pressure gauge - start engine and check gauge should be roughly 3-6 psi / if its higher than 6 psi your catalytic convertor may be plugged / have someone step on the gas pedal and or snap the throttle abit and watch the gauge if Cat is plugged pressure will likely rise . I have seen plugged cats in spec at idle but rise as high as 25 psi when throttled and may not set engine code due to being in spec at idle when the DTC is run
