Can I put a set of 205-75-15 tires on a 2001 Toyota Sienna?

Asked by Talquin390 Sep 02, 2015 at 06:07 PM about the 2001 Toyota Sienna LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a  good set of nearly new 205-75-15 tires on my inoperable Kia SUV and a bad set of 205-70-15 on my Sienna. Toyota recommends 205-70-15 tires for Sienna.  Is it OK to put the 205-75 tires on the Sienna? I can't afford new tires.

205/70-15 have a diameter of 26.3" The 205/75-15 has a diameter of 27.1" You will raise your gear ratios, including final drive slightly. Move just a little farther for each turn of the wheel.(3%) Presented for what it is..
