Car want shift out of first gear

Hi everyone my name is Joe and I have a 2005 Malibu with an intermittent
problem with the transmission shift out of first gear. I had it repaired and
the mechanic said it was the computer and reprogrammed it. Car worked
great for 2 weeks then started over with the same problem. My check
engine light is on and the traction control is off. It want let me turn the
traction control back on. I took it to a mechanic who put it on the computer.
He said the computer from the transmission and the traction control were
not talking to his computer. He said it might be a fuse or something simple.
Any ideas which fuses I can check to see if I can resolve the problem?

Needs the CAN-BUS checked before doing anything else. Find another mechanic if he can't locate a non communication issue hes a no gear / electronic tools, kinda guy. Call around find a modern facility with equipment.

The local mechanic found 3 issues on his computer 2 were solenoids to the transmission and 1 for the cruise control. Not sure which ones they are and he hasn't called me back to let me know which ones. I hope they are outside the transmission so I can fix it myself. Any advice on which ones they might be? Thanks for your response
