Transmission not shifting

Asked by Estudillo Jan 01, 2016 at 10:11 PM about the 2004 Toyota Sienna 4 Dr XLE Limited Passenger Van

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I change the transmission filter and fluid (castrol transmax) after refill the trans
with 4 qts and few oz; now the trans. is whining and not reverse or drive.
Anybody can let me know how to solve this mess, please!!!!

I would expect it to take around 6 quarts.

I added half a bottle of brake fluid to transmission it worked in smoothing gear shift issues. Locus Transmission additive (real thick red oil) helps too. External transmission oil cooler mounted in front of radiator really extended my transmission life to about 334,000 miles.
