Your in a no win situation..either you suffer or they suffer ... They can go back to sleep a lot easier then you can walk home
the alarm will turn off as soon as you turn the key
Turning key on does not shut alarm off ive already tried that...
My answer was based on a Factory installed alarm ... starting your car has always turned off a factory alarm ... but I see your car is a 96 and I'm not sure it has a factory installed alarm .... if it doesn't then the only thing you can do is once you have entry ... pop the hood and disconnect the battery ,,, then disconnect the alarm (what ever is the quickest)
OK it was along time ago, On my '95 T100 I got in (alarm going crazy) found and flipped the micro switch -should be under the edge of the dash, drivers side. The switch is for a "valet" setting so they can drive you truck WO the fob. Now that the switch is flipped, you should be able to turn off the ignition, wait a few seconds ( blissful silence) then turn on the ignition and -fingers crossed -drive off without the alarm screeching and making you feel like a doofus (your not a doofus just a guy tryin' to get by- I know that).
