My headlights stay on all the time. Have to pull the head relay so it doesn't drain battery. If you push your foot on the foot well rest, it makes the lights go on and off, like a switch??

both were checked already and are working properly. I'm having to take relay in and out when I want to use them. And more recently, i have had to replace the relay a couple of times. They stop working because i believe there must be a short to ground somewhere. The relay gets extremely hot when being used even for a very short time period.

Let me give you a schematic. Trace wiring from behind relay and anywhere you see heat or vibration pay close attention you may see it rubbed through. Good luck
