1999 toyota tercel head gasket may gone but runs ok bart's leaks is ok to fix

mechanic said head gasket is gone, I think he is wrong because car iz runs ok and no smoke

Sounds like they nailed it! It runs fine and no smoke because the gasket isn't blown at the cylinders. If there's oil in the coolant you can pretty much bet there's coolant in the oil also and that's a killer of engines

It very well could be transmission fluid, that happened to my friends mom. Check both engine and transmission fluid for signs of coolant or the level rising, if its leaking one way there will always be some sort of transfer of fluids at some point

If your car burns much oil it would be a wise idea to replace the piston rings while the head is off as thats 70 percent of the work to change them
