I have a toyota engine that I bought for my tundra
and installed it the wiring harness has a blue plug
that goes into the ecu can anyone tell me the size
and maybe the year of the engine so that I can find
a ecu that will work? The tundra I put it in is a 02
automatic with 4x4

You want me to tell you what engine you have with the only information being that it has a blue plug? You need to find a serial number on that lump of metal.
That's the problem there is no number what I was told and how it was advertised was that it was a 3uzfe that had never been installed that toyota had put it together to put on a dyno and the motor and everything about the motor is new there is no numbers anywhere and there is no place that looks like there ever has been it's a V8 cast block and plastic intake and the throttle is etc where the other motor had a throttle cable the ecu on my truck will not work and I was hoping since the wiring harness on the new engine has a blue plug that goes into the ecu that maybe someone could help.
Did you think that since the engines were similar you could install a different series engine? I would cut your losses and get a correct engine,
No sir that was not my intention at all I needed a engine for my truck so I looked online to try to find one I could afford and I have never messed with a toyota much even though I know they are really good vehicles but I was told that it was a 4.7 the same size that was already in the truck so I thought it was a good deal I knew the wiring harness was different but I had no idea it was going to be this much trouble finding a ecu or that it wasn't a 4.7. I was just hoping someone could help me.
And at this point I am not sure it is a 3uzfe because from what I can find online and read the 3uzfe does not have a cast block but this engine does.
