When i put my Tundra in gear it goes into gear but when I step on gas pedal , the truck does nothing. The engine doesn't rev at all. Its as if it is still in park or neutral.

So are you saying vehicle will rev up in park or drive ?
Recently jumped Tundra to move to a place that I could change the alternator. After finally getting it started, it would not drive in reverse, or drive. Stepping on the gas peddle does nothing (it will idle until battery dies). Does not rev at all.

Does your vehicle have a electronic or cable that operates the throttle ?

The only reason I was asking is because my next door neighbor had the some problem with their vehicle and I looked at it and found the cable had come loose from the accelerator pedal.

If vehicle has a manual throttle check to see if throttle cable has come loose if it is a electronic throttle check for blown ( ETCS ) Electric Throttle Control System fuse.
