Torque converter?

Driving down hwy going 70mph thenrmp shot to
7000rpm and whinding noise was not getting any
pull.  Coasted over to shoulder, put in park. Shut
engine off.  Waited thw started again.  Gear shifter
moves but does not go amywhere. Not in 1st. 2nd,
3rd, D,  nor reverse.

Did you check transmission fluid level and condition? Did you check for leaks? How many miles? Could be a internal failure.
