I have a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer. I just put a new
water pump, and belt on and then it started to run
hot so I put a thermostat in it and it is still running
hot. What can you tell me is wrong with my car? I
hope you can help me I'd really appreciate it very
much thanks.

Texas.....You have the I6 engine I'd assume. Get a scanner and check the real temperature. Our gauges are junk. Might just be your temp sensor. Lucky you, for 05, it's located right above the thermostat. If your fan clutch is starting to go bad, you'd have a check engine light on our platform more than likely.
New fan clutch was an easy diy and fixed my overheating issues.
I have a 2005 trailblazer also and it also was getting hot I replaced the fan relay and now its normal.even tho it has a clutch fan there is still a fan relay in the fuse panel under the hood. .
