2006 Toyota Hybrid Highlander No Heat

Asked by CodyDogMiller Nov 25, 2023 at 12:30 PM about the 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I smelled a burning electronic component from the dash area, but everything seemed to work. Then winter came and I realized there was no heat. Putting that together I presume a component needs to be replaced. Question number one is how to remove the unit from the dash. Question number two is can someone tell me the specs for the failed component once it has been identified? Thanks!

You should pull the dash board to see what was toasting , a multi tester is useful for finding electrical problems , It could just be the selector switch , If it's an expensive module or something you should find out why it toasted before burning up a new one
