if DRUM brakes...would need an adjustment...goin' in reverse is supposed to ratchet them tighter....have a looksee to make sure this mechanism is working properly...if Disc brakes I'd take a look to make sure the slides are moving freely~
if the wheels are turned when you hear the clicking, you might check cv joint.
