what makes my lights on my 2004 chevy blazer go dim and then brighten back up?

going down the road at night lights go dim then bright

there should be a light sensor on your dash, it is a new function in most vehicles it automattically adjusts your dash lights from bright to dark, you can over ride it by turning the dash lights brighter and its not as noticeable, it probably does it all day as well. (and you will probably notice its as you pass street lights)
