Engine shut down like someone pulled the plug and there is nothing. No electrical at all and engine will not turn over. Like soneone pulled the electrical plug.

Check the battery see if its discharged,should be 12.6 volts make sure the terminals are clean and connections are tight and not corroded...inspect all the cables and ground wires, IT might be UNplugged! broken or loose grounds cause all kinds of problems. If the alternator went bad it won't charge the battery, then the battery discharges until it shuts the engine down. after you get it started again, Have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down.
