i have a c280 1996. it sat for 3yris without battery. when i put radio code in it says wait.....it never turns on...please help me

stupid q. but can you get the info from the radio, (how do you know it is the original), to be sure the code is correct., the dealer should release the code to you if you call them and ask for service. make sure they corelate
