Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Told it could be the fuel filter of fuel pump. Someone said pull a plug and see if it's firing, I am female and haven't a clue where a plug is. When I try to start it the humming sound continues like the fuel pump is still pumping. I would like a professional opinion what it might be. Is there anyway to start it so I can get it to the shop?

Don't feel bad, most of the advise you get is from people without a clue either. The problem is that the crankshaft position sensor thinks the engine has started when it hasn't. This is caused by an interference noise between starter and ring gear. The starter will have to be removed and the ring gear lubricated with a heavy high temperature type grease. No parts need to be replaced. :)
