Question type: Maintenance & Repair
2004 Tracker electrical system went crazy, park lights flashing no headlights, heater fan won't shut off. Fuses all good. Everything else works. Dealer replace alternator, didn't work. Older battery replaced, didn't work. Flashing gone, heat lights work now it drains the new battery overnight ?

The dealer performed the work with bad results, did they suggest another repair? This is on them now, you paid for a repair and still have a broken car.

Thats not the first time i have heard that problem on the '04. This may sound crazy, but try pulling the def 15 amp fuse out over night (inside left kick panel) and check the voltage in the morning. Of coarse put it back in before you leave or you wont have heat, rear def or automatic control for your tail lights (part of the DRL system).
