I have a 1997 Mercedes E320. It will go in reverse and drive, but it will not change gears. the conductor plate was changed and it's still doing the same thing. when you put in drive or reverse it jerks and while driving it will not change gears. I pulled the codes on it. there were 4 codes. P0341, P0715, P0740, P0700

Not necessarily but you have three codes for transmission problems

The first code is for the cam sensor, the 0700 tells you to check the tranny, now here is what you need to check first, the p0715 is for the turbine speed sensor and the p0740 is for the torque converter. The tranny can have some issues with the speed sensor and just is in limp mode

Try to fix this first before buying a tranny, check for leak in the transm plug wich is common to cause faults also. Good luck
