Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my ABC light in 2001 S500 with 130k miles is staying on...car is not
sagging..very light driving these days...I don't want to spend five grand
replacing pump or sensor, just want the light off permanently so it doesn't
aggravate the heck out of me and I can see my other stuff like miles,
etc...my mechanic says there's no way except reset and it will just come
back on if senses a pressure issue...please help...thanks

the problem turned out to be a slow leak in the hydraulic system pump that controls pressure in the ABC system..rather than spend a wad fixing it, ($5k) I found a kit at Strutmasters that replaces the hydraulic system with a standard suspension for $1300 installed...never have to worry about the hydraulics again, ride is good...I had changed 3 of the 6 lines, etc. spent way too much trying to "fix" the problem...kit turns out the light, which I had been told was impossible...if you have this system, replace it for a heck of a lot cheaper than you can keep fixing what is a consistent and expensive issue on this S500 model.
