My 2003 Avalanche driver sear will not go forward? everything else works.

Check your fuses and circuit breaker in the fuse box/es under dash and hood, your owners manual will show you where they are located.There is probably one fuse for each seat.

Under the seat there are 2 sets of wires going to the motor. A very small pair, one red, one black. One large pair, one red, one black. Ok, you will have to check the large wires. Since the problem is the seat does not move forward, I would check for power at the black wire while depressing the switch forward. If you have power than the switch is Ok and the motor is faulty.
