Timing sensor

Asked by Guru1YGRB Aug 26, 2019 at 04:47 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Blazer LS 4-Door RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced my intake gaskets on my 2003 4.3 v6 vortec.  After reassembly was complete I tested the engine and the timing is off just a touch.  On this model I have to disconnect the timing sensor to manually time the engine, but cant find the sensor.  Where is the timing sensor located????

I think the timing is set by the computer , the cam and crank have to be synched , if you manually adjust it the synch is thrown off .
