Is this a good deal for a 2001 V10 F250 Super Duty?
Asked by needatruck101 Jan 22, 2014 at 05:11 PM about the 2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty XLT Crew Cab SB
Question type: Shopping & Pricing
It's listed for $3900. Body looks ok, except for a large dent in the right left side and the
tailgate. It has 172,000 on it. Interior looks great. What do you guys think? It's a XLT and
has 4x4.

Yes it is a pretty good deal. The only downfall is the fuel mileage. 10mpg I have owned 2 and they are tough as nails with plenty of power. Add a superchip programmer and it will bring it up to 13-15mpg.

Do u know where I can get one on a good deal? Also, it was used as a logging truck before, do you think that is a problem? I'm just shopping around for a good truck to pull a light trailer that looks alright...What about the dent, can I get that smoothed out? Thx.
EBAY - $100 or less May be cheaper to buy a bed if it is 8ft. bed.

Do you suggest a brand for my chip? Sry, not to bombard you with questions, but this is my first truck. Thanks for your help!
At auction they go about 5K with 130Kmiles with not that much damage.

Which auction? If you can tell me where I can find a similar priced truck for a better value, go for it. I would even like to see if I can find a 4x4 F150 for $4,000 or cheaper.
