codes I can't find on any list

Question type: General

I get a B0041 code and a U1000 code on my 2003 Suburban. All I can find is P
codes. Any ideas.My battery was dead the other morning and its brand new. I
had it checked and it was in top shape after driving all day. But my voltmeter
was fluctuating from 12 to 14 volts at a 700 rpm idle. It is usually rock solid on
14 volts. But no code for charging system issues. Confused.

U1000 is a communication error code, b0041 is an air bag code. Both could have been set as the battery died. I haven't seen the charging system throw a code on one of these. If your voltage is fluctuating that much you may need an alternator
