2002 Ford Explorer Sport trac 4 wheel high Problems, Help

I have a 2002 Ford explorer Sport trac 4x4. sometimes when using 4 high because of
snow covered roads. when i go to disengage the 4 wheel it will not disengage. other times
it will come right back to 2 wheel . I Do not have this problem when i have it in 4 low .. it
will go right back to 2 wheel no problem, My Problem is only in 4 high .. Help ?

4X4 control module. It is located behind the glove box or the plastic panel at your right foot on the passenger side. Disconnect the battery first. Disconnect the control module and look at the terminals inside for rust or corrosion. Clean and put electrical grease on them and reconnect. See if it works correctly. If not replace it and make sure to disconnect the battery before you install the new one.

pur used 4wd control module on e bay four my 2002 ford explore sport track when I first put it in I did not unhook battery it worked fine .but about a week later would not shift I unplugged repluged it in again started to work fine but about aweek later will not shift out of low 4wd drive even with module unpluged
