97 F-250 HD

Asked by Guru9ZCGN Jun 06, 2017 at 04:42 PM about the 1997 Ford F-250 2 Dr XLT 4WD Standard Cab LB HD

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 97 ford f-250 that got hit on the driver side door, transmission and
engine are great but frame and cab are done. Is there a way to pull the
engine and transmission and install it into a 98 f-250 or 99. I have access to a
98 for free so if possible great. I know 97 was the end of the 460.

Yes it is possible but installing an older motor in a newer truck may mean you won't pass smog inspection.
