The turn signal hazards and brake lights are a totally different system from the had/tail lites, Did you get the right headlite switch?
Sorry I hit post insread of the thing I was trying to hit anyway. On some of the switches there is a separate spade sticking out the side of the switch if it came off without you seeing it it will do crazy stuff to the lites. Just for the hell of it put the old switch back in and see if something is different I don't know what but different. This is strange and this stuff was my specialty let me know I'll be around for a while
I missed the switch part in my main post the original switch also worked in the automatic headlight mode just the headlights would turn on in park and on side of the switch, I disconnected trailer wiring all seems fine repaired a ground on frame still no luck. Disconnected batteries applied 12 volts direct to right marker light and all tail lights and markers work checked at switch had power to both brown wires on back of light switch. When reconnected only had power to yellow and red I believe when switch turned on no other power was leaving any other wire so called ford with vin and ordered switch from them matched all serial numbers also
I’m wondering if the daylight sensor in the dash could affect it or is there a relay I’m missing other then main panel or underdash Am I wrong in thinking it could be caused by the vsm vehicle security module although the locks work perfectly
I think you might be right, can you find a diagram for the vsm? I wonder what f one of the brown wires goes in and doesn't get relayed ba k out. You could jumper the brown wires there to verify. Good thinking on your part.
Found a diagram, ran Out of time for now the truck must sit for a week while I leave for work and rack my brain all week trying to figure this lighting out. Thank you mike for the input so far I’ll get back to ya when I return to the truck
Hey check out the relay between the headlite switch and the tail lites, by pass it.

I was having the same issue and turns out fuse #17 was the cause for my problem. I replaced that fuse and now have all my lights back like normal. Although my fog lights now don’t work. I checked the fog lamp fuse and it’s fine. You guys got any idea as to why my fog lights now don’t work?
