1999 f250 (5.4) engine swap

so i have a 1999 5.4 f250 4x4 that i cherish deeply but the engine is around 2002,000 miles and i need help deciding what to do with it ! should i get a rebuild or should i do a swap and make some conversions ? if so any ideas i am on a 3-4 grand budget!

A Ford factory rebuilt engine is around $4k plus installation. Triton engines can go a lot farther than 200k miles if you take care of them. http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/CatalogResults.aspx? y=1999&m=Ford&mo=F-150#Search
