The difference between 5.0 and 5.8 has nothing to due with being a Windsor or Cleveland type engine. The 5.0 and 5.8 that came in your year of truck are both Windsor style with the main difference being the deck height. The deck height or height of the engine block is taller on the 5.8 to accommodate the larger displacement. Taller deck height means the 5.8 intake manifold is wider than the 5.0 and they can not be interchanged. Cylinder heads are similar as well as the rest of the engine.
