Did I use too much Power Service?
Hi, I have a question. I am new to driving diesel and yesterday I added too
much Power Service to my diesel tanks. I am using the Power Service in the
white bottle, which is intended for temps above 0 Fahrenheit. Unfortunately,
without reading the bottle, I added 10 oz to each tank, as I have parallel
tanks on my 1994 Ford F-250 7.3L Diesel idi. This is twice the
recommended amount for the current temps where I live in Montana. Am I
going to be okay, or do I need to have my tanks drained? I just paid $90 to
fill them at the current prices, so that would be bad, but not if this is going to
cause me engine problems. When I filled the tanks, between the two of
them, they held 25 gallons, so between the two of them, I think they hold just
under 30 gallons. Another option would be to drive the truck and burn some
out of each tank and immediately refill them to dilute the Power Service. On
the other hand, maybe I'm ok, cause the recommended amount of Power
Service for temps below 0 Fahrenheit is about the amount I used (well, I
used slightly more than this). Any replies would be most welcome.
