What would cause a check engine light to come on after a distributor replacement?
After a short trip I stopped and after I tried to start my truck it cranked and cranked and would not start (no check engine light on). I had it towed to a mechanic and he replaced the distributor and it runs great (now with a check engine light on) and after a return visit to adjust the timing. Question: could he have shorted something out in the computer that he says needs to be replaced?
