Hey autoking1 Thank you for answer ..

I changed my dash cluster..then all my problem solved..try it
I have an 06 f350 6.uh oh diesel and have the same problem. Pull off the part of the dash board that only clips in... So you can access instrument cluster and 2 plugs ontop of speedometer and odometer... The 2 pluhs (usually the one over the speedometer) comes loose. Push the plug down with a decent amount of force and watch all ur electrical come back to life... I know this is not an answer to fix the problem, but will show you where the problem is ( I haven't fixed mine yet either) I've talked to a lot of people saying the new wiring harness is a few hundred.. Hope this helps

I am going to test all of the fuses inside the cab, then try removing and reinstalling the connections to the interior fuse panel, cleaning each one as I go. Then I will clean the connections inside the engine compartment against the firewall. I will post my results when I finish. Kevin in NY
Seems as though this is a common problem, my 06 f350 is having the same issues. From reading previous posts, the true remedy is unclear. It's it the cluster, or fuse box connection. Any info is appreciated?

Two days later it happened again. They currently have it in their shop and said they will get back to me this afternoon. I will keep you posted! THIS SUX
I just fixed the same issue with no power to the Instrument Cluster, Power Windows, Radio and dome lights. F-21 was blown. New fuse and everything works great.

Problem , intermittent - gauges would die, stereo, dome light , and windows wouldn't work ( bang on dash everything would work again) . Found problem inside gauge cluster in circuitry under top right plug . To fix replace gauge cluster ( Ford dealer approx.$450 parts + removal and install and programming )
Hi every one with a Ford truck or a car, contact Ford and ask for a recall for the cluster, this is a very common issue and for their reputation Ford company should do a recall otherwise they will be loosing a lot of loyal buyers of their cars and trucks. I hope this will be a wake up call for Ford to quickly do a recall as millions of people are having this problem, I have a 2007 F350 diesel super duty with low millage having the on off problem with power to windows, radio, gauges , went to Ford dealership and their solution for me was to buy a new truck!!!!?
I have a customer with the same problem on her f250 Tracy down to the cluster open the cluster up there is a small black capacitor in there that goes faulty

Jbateman584 answered 6 years ago
05 f350 with same issue as all others. Intermittent radio, gauges, and power windows go out. No real pattern, just random times. Ford replaced the ignition switch saying that was the problem. Did not fix the issue. Now looking for the real issue. any advise or new updates on the exact cause?
I read through a lot of these posts and everyone's having the same problem and all different fixes work I tried to remove the battery for 5 minutes make sure both terminals or clean remove the positive and negative put them back on and everything worked the one common denominator to changing all these parts is usually the the battery is disconnected and reconnected especially at following the steps from the factory
RockySummit answered 6 years ago
I had a problem similar to the ones described here. I disconnected the battery cables on the negative side of both batteries. I waited a couple of minutes, reconnected the cables, and everything came back on and seem to be working fine again.
I have an 02 Expedition exact same problem everybody's listing here was going crazy my fuse Checker said everything was good my mom came I pulled the fuses and replaced them everything worked great so before you bypass fuses and go to the next change the fuses out and see what happens a little bit of corrosion on them they were just fine but my truck didn't like it
Mine is doing the same thing, disconnected the batteries and still nothing, fuses are all good, relays good, I'm at a loss. Helpppppp

I sent my cluster to Automotive Circuit Solutions. The turn around was fast and I spent about $150 with shipping. I reinstalled the cluster etc today 12-7-2018 and still have same problem. I have 2003 f350 6.0. It runs great but no power windows, radio, dome and none of the gages register when running ? No odometer,RPM,s, engine or transmission temp ,fuel level etc.. The ABS and Air bag LED register when I turn the key on. I measured the the alternator while running and it is charging . Please help .
I am having the same problem on my 06 F350 diesel. I was told check the fuses, connections, and the grounds. It has to be a dirty or loose connection cause all my years as an agricultural mechanic tells me that intermittent electrical usually means connections or wiring. When components fail they fail and its dead. But mine will randomly cut in and out sometimes a few times for a few minutes and next trip it works fine. Going to check all that above mentioned stuff today. Confident i will find and fix the problem.
On a car gurus posting they also say cracked wiring on the overdrive button from the shift lever down the steering column can short and cause this issue. New shift lever solves that version of this issue.
So I have a ford f350 2005 I have no dash lights and no heat where do I find the location of that fuse

I have an 2003 F-350 SD. my problem is very similar as all these post with the exception of one thing, My cluster works fine and my battery charges fine. With mine, the radio shuts off (power is still there because the time still shows up) but none of the buttons work and the windows will not roll down then a few sec, min, hours later when the radio comes back on the windows roll up again. Have taken it to Ford 3 times and they told me the first time it was the dome light itself, that did not fix the issue, then they said it was the entire fuse box, no luck, last time they had it for 2 weeks and said they could not get it to replicate the problem so I turned on the truck and hit the switch in the dome light itself and walah the damn radio turned off that the windows would not roll down. they kept it for 2 more weeks and told me they could not locate the issue. I am at my wits end here and ready to drive it off a cliff!!!!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!!!
So I too have this problem or one similar to it. There are two plugs that enter the top of the gauge cluster one on the top left and one on the top right. I have noticed the one on the right side of mine has become loose most likely on the circuit board it plugs into. If I push on it, it Reestablish is the connection and everything comes on however if I hit any bumps or it jiggles it loses connection and everything again goes off. I believe the fix to this is a new cluster gauge or re-soldering the board that the plug attaches to. Hope this helps

I had the same problem here in Canada send my cluster to those guy https://pixeltek.ca for less then $150 I got my problem fix install it today since last week problem solved.
Same issue here when I took out my cluster to find rattle and when I reinstallled nothing worked, then I took it back out put it in again and when i put the right side plug in everthing worked again. The right side connector seems to control the power to the interior lights, radio and windows...who knew.

Any of y'all with work trucks that can't afford to send your cluster off for repair. I made a 1 minute video on you tube of a 4 minute fix to get you by https://youtu.be/dWbzXLpO9Aw
06 f250 6.0 intermittent power loss to Guages, radio and windows, has cluster rebuilt, had fuse block rebuilt, new shift lever, replaced radio, still doing same damn thing grrrr not sure what to do from here
I see all these posts & have yet to hear a definitive answer. From my research, if window & radio & cluster gages are not working well or off & on, my bet is the cluster. But then there’s the people like myself who have all the gages working (2003 f-350 6.0) but the radio & electric windows stop & start, often with a brake light or 4x4 illuminated in the gages.......changed fuses, relays...still wondering

Question: my dome lights turn on when I turn on the defrost for my mirrors, what could be the problem?
NotAguruSteven answered 4 years ago
3 days ago my 2006 F350 started having these issues. All instrument panel gauges quit working, radio quit working, power windows quit working. It started as an intermittent problem, but is getting progressively worse. Note that it doesn't affect my ScanGauge, connected via the OBDC port. Yesterday I tried the easiest fix I found in this thread, disconnecting both negative cables to reset the system. I made sure all terminals were clean and tight. This seemed to have worked, with no problem during a test run. But on the way to work this morning, the problem is still there. Next step will be to remove the instrument cluster enough to reseat the connector as mentioned in another solution.
Thanks Daniel simple fix push two coins into the plug into the top of the instrument panel on the plug-in above the speedometer. everything came back on now I'm just waiting for a new instrument panel but it's getting me by until then. 5 minute fix
I’m having similar problems, 03 excursion diesel, but mine only happens when I accelerate. Just started a few days ago. Ended up replacing both batteries, one of which began leaking so it seems. Put in new batteries, started right up. Press accelerator and entire dash and radio shut down but truck still runs. Any thoughts? As a side note, I do have an upgraded Nations HO 275 amp alternator that’s never been an issue but is about 7 yrs old.
Good 2020 to all. I have a 2003(02/03) Ford Excursion with the V-10 and the radio and overhead counsel are not working. The gauges all work, including the back-light. I also have a parasitic drain that I am hoping is also associated with the battery saver relay in the cluster. I had verified all of the fuses and relays are functioning and powered prior to sending off. I also replaced the alternator as it was having issues that appear to be unrelated. I found a cluster service on ebay at https://ebay.us/VGeRGy that I have sent the cluster to be re-manufactured. I will post if it corrects, or doesn't correct the problem(s)
