Chevy trail blazer 2003

I just bought this blazer today and it was great while
i test drove it but a few ours later i was driving and
then all of a sudden my rpms went really high and
didnt feel like it was moving til I dropped it into 2nd
gear what could be wrong with it

Cassandra, while this does seem like a transmission issue, I don't think it is. Have your TPS checked out. Throttle Position Sensor. You may need to put a new throttle body on it (TPS is incorporated into the throttle body on our engine). I actually had this exact problem myself on the I6 engine. A bad TPS can cause this exact problem. If it checks bad, get a throttle body with a lifetime warranty. OR on the cheap, swap a junkyard throttle body with yours, preferably 04 or newer.
