Various lengths and diameters can be purchased from any parts store. Usually the flared fitting are already made onto the ends. Cut out a piece of fuel line which equals the length you purchase. Place a male fitting on the two ends and use a plumbers flaring tool to flare both ends. Attached the two male fittings using a double female connector and fighten with a wrench.
As a general rule vehicle dealerships do not stock such parts if the vehicle is four or so years old. They can usually order the part (a big price) and have it shipped in with a day or so. Ford does not have access to parts for vehicles ten model years old. I've tried on a couple of occassions and was told the same each time.
If the part of the line you have to replace has a bend in it, do the following. The replacement section of line will have two fittings attached to each end. Use a plumbing cap and secure it to one end. Find the finest grade sand you can and completely fill the line. Cap the other end. Carefully bend the line around a pipe the approximate size of the bend that has to be made. This is a slow gentle process. Definitely not for the person who likes demolition. The sand will prevent the line from kinking. Just take it slow and easy.
if you have time and tools pull-a-part. its its cheaper than the dealers and stores and you can buy a 30 day warranty, just make sure you check the lines before you buy
