What's wrong
I have a 1992 Ford F150 XLT, 5.0. I recently
acquired this pick up a few months ago and have
recently noticed some issues. (Possibly all
connected?) I'm biting thru oil quick, apx 5 quarts
in a couple months. I have found oil in my air filter
box and soaked thru my air filter and breather filter.
I replaced both filters as well as the hose and
connections coming from the oil input on the
motor. I have also noticed I'm going thru coolant
very quickly as well. There has been "vanilla
pudding" looking stuff around oil cap and dipstick
as well. When i check oil after truck has been
running for a bit, there is light smoke coming out of
hole and the dip stick is so hot i cant touch it. I
checked for blow-by by seeing if oil cap rattles and
placong my hand over oil reservoir, but no pressure
building up when doing so. Any suggestions or
ideas?
