I have a 1992 f150 xlt lariat and the rear abs light stays on, will go off occasionaly. I assume it is the sensor is bad and would like to know fi you have a diagram of location and is it hard to change out

Hey fatbaby ... First thing I would check is brake fluid but you are more than likely correct in assuming the sensor has flipped out. Once you find it you can use a jumper wire to connect the black and orange wire to the chassis. At that point watch the ABS light as it blinks a certain number of times ending with one long blink. Different numbers of blinks indicate different problems. The codes can be found in your Rangers Chiltons manual which I am willing to bet is on the shelf of you local library. That will lead you to the sensor and tell you how difficult it is to switch out in case you want to pick one up on the drive back. if you can't find a Chilton's at the library, try your local book store or parts place. You can also head to your Ford dealer to look into ordering the part and at that point you can ask some questions at the parts counter. That usually yields great results! Good luck!
