My overdrive is flashing

Asked by dawghouse91 Jun 02, 2014 at 01:03 PM about the 1995 Ford F-150 XLT 4WD Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The overdrive signal is flashing on and off? I have removed the battery cables as directed by the dealer and depressed the brake pedal for the time he requested but the condition stayed the same?

That doesn't make sense. The OD light flashes because there's a problem with your Transmission. You can't reset it - you have to repair it. I can't imagine why they would tell you to do something like that.
