When you have a no start condition you should first test for fuel and spark, it's pretty easy for someone with general automobile knowledge. After cranking for a few seconds pull a spark plug and see if it's wet with fuel, if it is you can assume no spark is present but while you have one out you can test for spark. If spark plug is dry you can assume it's a fuel delivery issue and would want to start by listeneing for the fuel pump to turn on when you turn the key on, checking the fuse(s), relay(s) and wiring then moving on to manual turning on the pump to see of its working at all, even giving the tank a sharp rap of you can't hear it running

my truck did this it was the oil pressure sending unit. where your gauge plugs in.
