Why do my lights on my chevy avalanche pulsate

The trucks inner and outer lights pulsate and when I lift my foot off the gas it will dim
really low

the ground connection to chassis from your 1/0 battery cable is not letting enough juice through...this one or the one going to the engine block...both need 300 cold cranking amps capability...lights dim? your battery is older than five and needs to be replaced....alternator is working overtime~

Sounds good ill check that, I know my battery dies if I leave it for two days I have to unhook it if I know I'm not using it and I just got a new one any suggestions on a nice cable brand
