Months and it over heats when I start
goin down the road and it will cool
down for a min and over heat again.
I'm wondering why it would be
bubbling out the rad coolant resivoir.
It sounds like my engine is going
slow could it be my fan clutch not
spinning fast enought to cool down
my motor or ???????????

Have you replaced the radiator cap? An old cap can cause this. Also could be a head gasket issue. Do an exhaust gas test on cooling system. This will help you tell if its a head gasket issue.
Put the thermostat back in . With it being out means it's at least not stuck. But you need one to let the engine come up to operating temp quicker at start-up. (it actually stops water flowing out of the rad at start and only allows coolant to flow after warm up) At the least do not run the engine when it is overheating. I have no intention of looking up anything on 1996 Ford. Are you telling me you have a fan driven by a fan belt?
You do have the proper mixture of coolant to water mixture? No 100 percent water or 100 percent coolant, right?
If you remove the thermostat from the vehicle, it will overheat. The heated water from the engine has to be given time to be cooled off by the radiator and fan. Is the fan spinning when the engine runs? Check for blockages in front of the radiator like leaves etc which would restrict the flow of air through the radiator.
Possible fan clutch could be bad, make sure you do not have air pocket in the system. Make sure your fan shroud is in place also. With new radiator, water pump make sure have new thermostat. Hope you did not blow head gasket. Good luck.
People with boil over problem after shutdown,,, i am having same issue,, with 1986 F150, 6 cyl 300 cube,, loaded "Lariat" version,, i found my radiator to be hot on the top half,, COLD on the bottom half after a good run on a hot day,, even after a good flush, the radiator (in great shape) is still clogged on the inside bottom,,, im taking it out,,, then to radiator shop to be cleaned out by professional craftsmen, i am sure this is the problem !!! Then ride "cool" again in all circumstances!! Will let you know..
