i have a 1999 f150 4.6 i got no fire to the crank senser or coils

What are the pinpoint tests for a crank sensor? What are the steps to set up for the test and run it ? Fire is bad, not recommended. a signal from a crank sensor can be described as minute, and requires the right sort of DVOM. I had to buy a fluke 88, others will also work.
