99 F150 transmission won't shift, now stays in park.

99 F150 with 217k miles.  Got 1/2 mile from home, it never shifted from Drive.
Got it home, and parked it.  When I started to repair shop, it won't come out
of park, no matter what I do.  Also overdrive light on shift handle keeps
flashing.  Any ideas?

Lot of miles on that transmission. Should take it to a transmission shop for proper diagnosis.

Thank you. Had it hauled in today. It's really been a fantastic truck - rather not part with it yet.

Then it will be worth it to you to have it rebuilt. I know how it is, I just built a new engine for my '95 Chevy truck. Engine is now worth more than the truck but I plan on keeping it. Love my truck.
