Is it safe to assume you have already had your battery and alternator checked? What is your car idling at when the low beams appear dim? Or are they doing it while driving?

Train a hose on your battery, wash off the corrosion, make sure both terminals are making good contact...Trace the black wire to where it's connected to the chassis, and to the engine block...wire brush these "lolli-with a hole" connections, and you'll have goood ground.

Dim to no lights on high or low beam is a very likely sign that your headlight switch is going bad.

Alternator and battery have both been changed and in proper working order. Lol. Car idles well and low beams are dim ( like low voltage all the time) But high beams work ??

Headlight switches are in fact easy to replace. Remove your keys from the ignition. If you have tilt steering, remove the tilt steering lever. Remove the three 7mm screws under your lower steering column cover. Remove the top steering column cover (it kinda snaps apart from the lower part once the screws are removed). Remove the bottom steering column cover ( it's kinda tight getting it removed from around the ignition key cylinder). You will need a 7mm wrench to remove the two screws holding the headlight switch on the steering column. Unplug the wire connectors. Install your new headlight switch in reverse fashion.
