I have a 2002 chevy cavalier I cant figure out why the coolent keeps draining out of the overflow hose can anyone help

if your lucky its an easy fix, when the engine warms up ,water expands and throws some out, when it cools it is supposed to draw that water back in. the rad cap is a one way pressure valve and a two way valve, like 18 psi and more will spill out, no psi as cooling will draw back in. try a new rad cap.
