2000 Ford F-150 random start question - need help

Asked by Benjamin Sep 05, 2015 at 02:19 PM about the 2000 Ford F-150 Lariat Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

One day will start right up another
day it won't.  Tow to shop, starts
right up.  Drive it three days.  Won't
start.  Intermittently no
communication with PCM.  Have
replaced key, PCM, fuse box.  Load
tested wiring power and grounds to
PCM.  Load tested network wiring.
Made sure grounds all good.
Seemed fine.  Getting no codes.  Sat
a few days and won't start.  Turn key
off as on about five times and fires
up.  Always cranks just won't start.
PCM won't turn on when key turns.
Any ideas?
