Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I say in gear,  the shifter says it's in
gear, to me it sounds like it's in neutral  It
just wont go. Sometimes though, it slowly
gets going, but eventually (like the next time
I stop) it doesn't go. Not even slowly. I've ran
many test. I dont feel its the transmission.
Any orher  possibilities ???

Have you checked the transmission fluid level? Is the fluid red or is it darker and smell burnt? Sounds like a transmission problem to be based on your description.

Thanks for answering, but no the fluid seems fine. No burnt smell. The color seems a little light in color to me. Almost clear.??? I should have mentioned, I did the OBII thing and (I forget the # now), but they say shift solenoid #1 electrical failure, shift solenoid #2 electrical failure, shift solenoid #3 electrical failure. What does this mean? I believe that transmission is in safe mode. What can I do?
