Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 ford f150 pu. Let it sit too long, a few
months. Charged battery, that's all good. Cranks
won't start.  Changed fuel filter.  Still the same, put
new gas in with additive. Starts when starter fluid
is shot in carburetor,  quickly dies. If it's the 20 amp
fuse for the fpdm, that many people here found
was their problem, would I still hear the fuel pump
sound when I turn the ignition?

I just did this experiment last night, actually. After realizing exactly where my relays are ( which are nearest fender and next one in is my fuel relay, I realized that my 20 amp fuse still has to be intact. The ECM relay and fuel relay are cousins and they both have to be intact in order for fuel to get to the block. When I pulled my 20 out, it stopped running. I put her back in and re start the motor, it idled just fine. good luck
